I’ve heard this many times before from self-proclaimed digital gurus, “don’t post more than once a day on your Facebook business page”.
Who ever promotes this rubbish has never actually managed a successful social media community.
How are you meant to engage your audience if you only talk to them once a day on social media? They’re on it every hour or two.
It’s not so much about the frequency of your posts, it’s about the relevance of your content and how well you know your audience. If your content makes people laugh, entertains, is worth reading, or touches them in some way, live a little and share it on Facebook.
In fact, Facebook recently changed their newsfeed algorithms to encourage Facebook community managers to be more “engaging”. Or else, you’ll slowly disappear from newsfeeds. That’s right! Facebook will punish you for being boring.
So stop boring the bejesus out of your Facebook fans. It’s a social platform for a reason.
Experiment what frequency works for your audience. This one-post-per-day rule is a silly little myth.
